Dustin Reed (Colby) signed his letter of intent this morning and will be attending Newman University next year. Congrats to Dustin and Newman University!

For those of you who do not know, Dustin is a 3-time state finalist and 2-time state champion. He has a 3.95 GPA and is the Student Council President and also the National Honor Society President at Colby High School. He is also a very active member of the CHS Young Humanitarians Organization. Newman has signed a great wrestler, student, and young man!

Congrats to Dustin and to Newman , you just got a stud .

WICHITA – Wrestling Coach Ryan Smith announces the signing of a National Letter of Intent. Two-time state champion Dustin Reed of Colby, Kansas will join the Jets in the fall of 2013.

Reed has posted a 118-6 career record during his last three seasons at Colby High School. His freshman year he was a runner-up at the Kansas 4A championships with a 34-3 record. Reed improved from his freshman season becoming a Kansas 4A State Champion with a 40-2 record. In his junior year, Reed earned his second straight Kansas 4A State Champion title. He is also a Fargo All-American. Currently, Reed is ranked #1 in the Kansas 4A 126 pound weight class, while Wrestling USA has him ranked 30th in the senior class.

Reed has a 3.95 GPA and is the Student Council President at Colby High School. Other extracurricular activities include National Honor Society President and Young Humanitarians Organization at Colby.
