Great Work! Not just to the high school coaches, but the kids coaches! I shouldn't forget the parents for putting up with ya! Nice accomplishment!

Too often overlooked is the effort and contributions of the teammates who, while perhaps not medaling or placing high, still contributed points to the team total.

So here's to all of the kids who, even after losing that initial match, rebounded and kept plugging, both for individual and team glory!

And that applies to ALL the kids on all programs.

Ark City looked very strong throughout the tournament. As good as Garden City performed and ran away with the 6A title, I see that Ark City ended with a higher total score (177.5 - 173.5).

Yes, Congratulations to Ark City for capturing Championship #20! What a program, what a history, what a tradition.
Of course, most everyone knows that Ark City has great wrestlers but they also have great kids. If you haven't actually seen them compete, you have missed out, and missed the big picture. They win with such class, so humble, so gracious. No fist pumps or flexes. No victory arms, running and jumping, etc. Don't get me wrong, celebration is good. I am certainly not above it. And I am certainly one who is probably guilty of drawing too much attention to myself at times, so I can't and won't pass judgement on anyone who celebrates. And when you win a state title, that is certainly cause for great celebration and I say go all out if you want, you have earned it. But it is also very refreshing to see a whole team just take it in stride. They win like they have done it many times and it is expected. Of course, that is indeed the case. There is a standard in place that they are expected to and do live up to. Surely they have to be extremely excited, very pumped up, absolutely stoked, but they just don't show it. It is very admirable and also very respectful and courteous to their fellow competitors. There is a leadership in place that understands the importance of their position and their role in transfering the philosophy to the wrestlers. I don't want to call it indoctrination but what ever it is, it is good and it works. I don't want to and probably shouldn't give all the credit to the great Wayne Jackson but it is easy for me to cast a lot his way, although I know the Bulldog Magic may transcend even Coach Jackson but that seems hard.
Congratulations to the Ark City Wrestlers for a great year and a great finish!
Congratulations to the Wrestlers Families!
Congratulations to the "Overlooked" that BulldogAlum spoke of!
Congratulations to the Ark City Faithful, Alumni and Fans!
Congratulations to Coach Buckbee and Coach Biddle and all the Assistants and Kid's Coaches!
