This is in reference to the Troy Hodges Memorial Golf Tourney. Please read and share with as many people as you can. This is kind of a call out to the wrestling community for this worthy scholarship event. Troy was one of the founders of the Metro Classic and a great wrestling coach in his own right. Please share with as many people as you can.

We are still accepting reservations for the Troy Hodges Memorial Scholarship Golf Tournament which will be held June 19 at the Sunflower Hills Golf Course near Bonner Springs, KS. The cost is $85 per golfer! The late fee has been waived to encourage a larger participation in this event. Go to www.TroyHodgesMemorialScholarship.org to find the PDF file of the golf brochure with more information and an entry form.

Registration will begin at 11:30. At 12:00 the putting contest will begin! You don’t have to be a golfer to participate! $5 gives you three chances at winning a huge basket filled with everything the BBQ fan needs, including chocolate. It takes at least two people to carry this basket! Seriously!!! This $150 value prize was donated by a group of former J.C. Harmon Staff members.

A silent auction will be held at the event. The auction will begin at 11:00 in the clubhouse and then be moved to the George Meyn Center for the dinner. We are offering a four night vacation at a resort in Cancun, a nights stay at the Ameristar Casino with dinner included. We have a KU final four display basketball and a framed KU related photograph. We have a number of packages of related items including a Family Activity Package which includes passes to Paradise Park, Lunar Park, Paint Ball and Wonderscope. The Night on the Town package includes, dinners at Ponaks and tickets to both the Unicorn Theater and the KC Rep. These are just a few examples of the items that will be available for your bid. Bring the checkbook!!!!!

We are also excited to have a Harley Davidson Sportster motorcycle available as a Hole-In-One prize on one hole.

The goal of this event is, of course,to make money for the scholarships but we also are hoping to provide a great day of fun and enjoyment for everyone! We will have great food, great prizes, an exciting silent auction and a chance to win a Harley. Come and enjoy renewing old friendships and making money to help some deserving young people toward their educational goals.

Thanks, Cathy Hodges
