High school, middle school, or kids club, the Burlington wrestling family nails it every time. They're lucky to have Doug (and his family) to head their wrestling program. I can't think of a better wrestling family. Thanks Doug and the Burlington wrestling family for a great tournament today.

Thank you Doug for another great tournament. I like the way you set up team scoring. The way you set that up gives all clubs(Big or Small) a chance at winning a team title. I would like to see the state tournament get set up like that. Thanks again.

Yes, the community of Burlington Wrestling is VERY blessed & grateful of the Volunteer efforts of the Vander Linden family! Doug & Michelle love what they do to support a Terrific Wrestling Family which involves kids rec. wrestling, kids club Mat Cats, the MS & HS wrestling programs. Burlington is Also very fortunate to have passionate Coach's & wrestling families as well as community members that "get involved", as well as many members of our wrestling club area teams that offered their expertise! The organization's strength is built upon a plan & execution.

We, the Burlington community were very grateful to HOST a tournament that was efficiently ran smoothly. Thank you for making it a great Wrestling Day!

Kansas thunderstruck wrestling agrees with all comments above. Doug is a class act. Not to mention created some nice match ups sunday. 10 and under 70-76 had two state champs and two state placers in a 4 man round robin, made for some good matches to watch or coach, josh miller, head coach ktw

On behalf of the Burlington Wrestling Club, we would like to thank the 550 wrestlers from 34 clubs that competed in our tournament this past weekend!! It was a great day that started with a beautiful National Anthem at 9 a.m. and the last of close to 900 matches was wrestled at 2:30 p.m. Many folks were walking out with medals in hand by 12:30 that afternoon.

We appreciate the compliments that have been posted about our tournament and our wrestling family here in Burlington. A couple of folks have mentioned me by name and my family. I've got to be honest, I am like the opening act/Wal-Mart greeter for our tournament!! I might be the voice you hear on the P.A., but there were over 125 volunteers from our Burlington Wrestling Family that really make things happen!

Our Club Coaches are top notch and not only volunteer to coach, but they also serve as the "get-back" guys and the first guys to jump to help anyone! They care about all of our kids!

Our Bracket Crew understands wrestling and how to put together some Top Notch competitive brackets. We dream a lot sitting around a table about what is BEST for the Top Kids, Average Kids and Novice Kids. We try not to overlook any level.

Our Concession Crew (moms and dads) do an Awesome Job of organizing and creating a Concession Stand that rivals anything we have ever seen in terms of variety, quality and price!! They work their tails off!

Finally, our Table Worker and TrackWrestling Crews rocked on Sunday. They met Saturday Night for an hour to train on Track and Scoring. We had done it for 17 years the "old" way. They jumped right on TW and made it fit what we like to do!! I was really pleased with how they handled matside scoring, bracketing, 2nd to 4th place medals, timing, communications and more!!

Again, we appreciate those that come back every year and have a good day with us!! We love seeing kids light up with their first wins, medals and fastest pins, smiles and laughs!! Wrestling is a Tough Sport, but along the way we have to laugh, have fun and create memories so that all those kids truly LOVE our sport and want to stay involved when it is their turn to lead!!

Thank you!
The Burlington Wrestling Family
