We would like to thank everyone that attended today's Qualifier at Washburn Rural High School hosted by Topeka Blue Thunder and Seaman Jr. Vikes.

With 601 wrestlers we started on time and all wrestling was done just before 3:30. We appreciate everyone working with us as we moved mat locations to get everyone out in a timely manner.

It's great to have the clubs we do in our District, there were several clubs that offered to help out if needed.

Also a big thanks to former Baldwin City and current Baker University NAIA National Champion Bryce Shoemaker for taking some time out if his day to come hang out with the little guys!

If anyone has any suggestions for next year or unresolved issues from today please PM us and we will be happy to work on those things.

Thanks Again
Daniel Reling

So glad to be a part of an organization like Topeka Blue Thunder... not too often you see a gym that was in full compliance with safety rules and had 600+ kids in and out by 3:30. Thinking we have found a longtime home for the District 1 North Sub-Districts.

I did forget to add that the young wrestler who was taken off the mat by stretcher is reportedly doing fine and was headed home earlier this evening.

One of the most well organized youth tourneys ever attended, great job hosts, it's a lot of work. Great facilities & tough matches. Good job qualifiers & good luck at districts.

I thought Daniel and crew did a fantastic job!

The fact that girls are forced to wrestle at state in the middle of the week is laughably sexist.
