With Cadet Duals just finishing up & JR Duals right around the corner, it is time for us to start focusing on National Tournament in Fargo, N.D. July 16-26.

Things to keep in mind:

1. National Team Prep Camp WILL BE HEADING TO OTTAWA UNIVERSITY this year. It will be held July 16-18. Camp registration will be held from 1:00-3:00 on July 16th.

2. Cost of $600.00 for each wrestler includes room & board at camp and at Fargo, all team gear including pair of singlets, transportation to the tournament, registration for the tournament.

3. IT WILL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE WRESTLERS TO GET THEMSELVES HOME FROM FARGO. We will transport up as a team on charter bus but the bus does not stay at Fargo to bring them home. Parents, start coordinating rides now.

4. National Team Prep Camp is required for everyone attending.

5. All wrestlers are required to stay with Team KS in Dorms at Fargo.

6. We currently have 55 wrestlers that have mailed me their deposit securing their spot on the team. Gear orders have been finalized so if you are going and have not sent in any paperwork, you need to contact me immediately.

Reminder any wrestler placing in top 3 at KS STATE FS&GR TOURNAMENT IN HUTCHINSON has already qualified themselves for this tournament. Also, if you have placed in top 3 at Southern Plains you have also qualified for the team. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Coach,
Could you post the dates and times of competition on here. I'm striking out with finding an event flier online.
Trying to set some plans to catch some competition if I'm going up to drive him home.
Thanks.

We are considering driving up in a 11 passenger van. Would have room for 7 wrestlers on the return trip. Let me know if you would be interested and we will post details such as cost and return times.

Registration is pretty simple. Once the wrestler reports to campus at Ottawa University they will check in at the dorm. At that time they will get issued their security access card to their room and their meal card. They will pay any unpaid balance of the $600 total for the trip and then they will be assigned a dorm room. That is all there is to registration.

If all of those who have contacted me already confirm, I am full.
I hope we can get them all home!

Officially 9 days out from the beginning of Fargo Prep Camp. We have 57 wrestlers that are signed up to attend, please follow us on twitter at @KS_NationalTeam to make sure your name is on the list.

Must have info:
1)if you did not compete at either Cadet Duals or JR Duals you must have a medical waiver on file with us to compete. If you did not mail this in with your application & need one email me so I can get you one to bring to camp.

2)for camp you will need to bring your own bedding & don't forget your bath supplies.

3)camp check in begins at 1:00pm on July 16 at Ottawa University.

4)please do not let not having a ride home from Fargo keep you from competing. We will get you home. Start making accommodations now for your ride home.

Please let me know if I can answer any further questions. I will be posting more info over the next several days.

If someone is still looking, I will have room in the Durango for at least one more to get home. At this time I have
Maxville, Zook, Treaster, and Kiser.
I could take one more if absolutely necessary. I would rather keep the open seat to make sure that everyone has made plans and catch a procrastinator up there. I'm betting that there is at least one.
wink

We are reporting to Ottawa Kansas correct. Not Ottawa University in Kansas City.

Do you have a physical address that I can program into GPS?

The 9th & Mulberry address will take you to what I think will be the Dorms!!

The main campus covers 6 city blocks!

It was an uneventful trip to Fargo and the campus of North Dakota State University! Coaches Peterman and Kelly as well as Mr. Juby and myself arrived about 4:30!

Already in Fargo was Coach Brandy Green from Ottawa U and two of the three gals we will have in action!

The Bison Sports Center is undergoing a huge renovation so practices have been moved to the old ROTC gym! We left Coach Green and the gals to a workout while us guys, checked into the dorms!

This is the first of many reports on the action from Fargo!!
