The Hays Wrestling Club will be hosting its annual Western Kansas Classic Wrestling tournament on March 4, 2017 this year. This tournament will be wrestled once again at Gross Memorial Coliseum on the campus of Fort Hays State University.

We will be bracketing according to wrestlers rankings. (A, B, C, D) we will not have a separate tournament for Novice but will bracket beginners with other wrestlers of the same caliber if numbers in that age and weight allow. The same awards will be given to all top 4 placers in each Bracket. This is a unique chance for some beginner wrestlers to earn a nice plaque and wrestle in the same tournament the advanced wrestlers.

We would like to get a couple more satellite sites set up for the Western Kansas Classic. We will post the current sites tonight on a different thread.

We have decided to extend our deadline until 5:00PM tonight, as we have had a few requests for late entries. So if you would still like to enter the Western Kansas Classic you have until 5:00PM March 1st to get entered.

How about releasing the names entered. I understand that some use that to run for competition but many of us use it to look for the competition.

how about if you want to come then sign up. None of the big tournaments except for nationals release names early. Salina was released after weigh in and maize was later that night after weigh in

I didn't see anything on the flyer, do they allow coolers and outside food?

As far as our club is concerned you can bring it in, but we request no coolers on the lower level.
