I think Cox may possibly be going to Andale, but I'm not sure of that. That's what I remember hearing.

if u match all those guys up in the list i put up ther i think furches is the best but not by far, furches is the best overall, rogers is the strongest, mcormik is just slik(fast), but mcormik is also kinda small. which isnt a bad thing, but for instince say at state he has 2 wrestle on the 2nd day, he may only way 105, when someone who is major cutting ways 115 or 120, i had that problem last year. But that finals sounds good but u never know they culd be on the sameside of the bracket. kinda like last yr with ely & altman.

There is always a sleeper in the crowd take Nathan Horn from Emporia. No one would have ever imagined that he would end up in the finals last year. Young Furches doesn’t need any pressure from all of you. He’s a freshman and he’s got enough going on in his life. You talk all you want… but High school wrestling is a big step for anyone. And there is just a tad bit of luck when you talk about championships.

ya horn was a huge sleeper, beating 3 guys that had beaten him too make the finals. that was huge. Just tryin to give furches some pump, im sure he gets enuff though. I do agree with u though, it will be hardto make the adjustmen from kids, to high school.

It's not so much physically challenging if you're in the lower weights but more of a mental game. Bigger tournaments, more hype at them, and better and older kids than you've never wrestled before. Nathan wrestling on the "National" scale will help him both physically and mentally so I look for him to do well this year.

Why is everyone trying to make such a big deal between the match up with me and Nathen. He a cool kid and whoever wins the match will be the better wrestrler. State is a long time away he should be thinking about the beginning of the season not the end at this point he has a lot of time to learn the difference between kids and high school.

Thanks Dante, for those that don't know, Dante, Nathan, and I have had talks about this and truth is, it would be way too cool to see these two fine young men go against each other but Dante hit the nail on the head. Way too early. Dante also knows that if it did happen, I'm pulling for Nathan, but don't mean I won't be glad and happy for Dante. I actually think that if it does happen we have a block party for the wrestling community here in the hood for both of the boys. Now that would be a party celebrating the high school career of one great wrestler, and hopefully the start up of another.

I think I would have to attend and bring Mr. Chenoweth along just for the entertainment. Is Swayz going to be present?

How about Tyler Caldwell. He should be out there somewhere (maybe Goddard) but I don't know. He will be one to watch for!

I think that all this talk about Rogers and Furches is way premature. Alot can happen, Injury, the flu both end up on the same side of the bracket, you just never know. High school 103 is wrestling people between 90 pounds and 120 pounds. I have wrestled Furches in Freestyle and Greco but have never had the pleasure in Folkstyle with him or Rogers. Although I think that Nathan will rise to the occasion, I also think that it's to much pressure and to high of expectations for a 15 year old. Anybody got anyone else or is it only a two horse race?

I'll definitely be at that party. And would the Swayz miss an opportunity for free food?

Yes...because getting free food would be a handout and the medical evils would see it as a payment to me.

Thanks a lot Mike a lot of people dont know that me and nathen hang out all the time, since the fact that we are neighbors. I know that he will be training to do his best and I respect that. I will also be training to be the best wrestler I can this year. Nathen has a lot to look forward to he is a great wrestler I will say that, and he does have more national tournaments under his belt. All that he has acomplished is because he wanted to show everyone that he could do it and he is not some push over. I am looking forward to seeing how he does this year and I wish him great luck.

Dante, Nate don't have any outstanding wrestler awards from any National's. You do young man, and the Swayz and I can brag about the Outstanding Wrestler we coached at Mid America Classic. We had a heck of a team there, hopefully we can put together a great team like that for the pre season tournaments. Lord knows, that we have had some of those lower weight guys excel. Be nice to keep on doing that for the duration of the year.
