Thanks Randy for geting that on here. I have to say im proud of Abilene for going up to this tournament and getting 3rd place with half a team! Thats pretty darn impressive I think. Can't wait for regionals and state to see how they do.
Oh and if I don't see ya sometime soon, great job Ross on the OW I wish I could have been there to watch.

Well to make a long story short, you can only schedule 30 points in a season, Abilene started off with 30 scheduled then two of the teams they were to dual decided to make it a double dual which put them at 32 points, so most of the 8 that went to Bashor sat out at some of those dualks so they would be back on track for 30 points. Meanwhile there were some varity wrestlers that needed a little more experience so they went ahead and wrestled those double duals and basically they weren't able to compete at the tournament. Without taking any credit away from those wrestlers I beleive it was the coaches decision that it was better for them to get some good varsity experience at the duals rather than going up to this pretty hard tournament and getting beat up on. It makes perfect sense to me and I totally support Coach Stout and Taplin on this. Most of the kids not going up to that tournament are young ones i.e fresh and sophmores.

Did Taplin or Zahm beat Kromer? What was the deficit in the match?

Chapman and Abilene did well with what they had in representing NCKL at the Bobcat tourney...(are the brackets up now? I have a deadline for the paper and am having trouble with people who were supposed to contact me for results, I know Chapman placed 3 guys but would have liked to know W-L there)
On a side note Chapman and Abilene did extremely well at the JV tournament as well Jenne of Abilene is the only Cowboy name I really remember and he looked pretty sharp. Chapman looked good as well with Cook going 3-0 with 2 pins and edging a good Abilene kid at 112 by 9-7 score....also Gobber went 4-0 with 4 pins going down to a more suitable including one over Schnieder of Abilene at 215.

I realized the #7 was put on there twice so add 1 to each place after 7th...example: Columbus 8th, SFT 9th and so on...
