Really looking forward to the 112 wt class. Possible matchups in the finals:

Larry Perez
Seth Metzler
Nick Shumate

Of course this is contengent on Shumate staying at 112 for this tourney. I understand he's looking at 103 for state.

If it pans out, this will mean Seth will be on the top side and Perez and Shumate on the bottom side, meeting up in the semi-finals. This could be one of the most exciting brackets of the season. We're not just talking state placers meeting up, but All Americans.

I know there was lots of hype on the Cornejo/Grater match and rightfully so. In my opinion, this weekend's matchups could be just as dandy.

I've already cleared my schedule for the Friday night semi's and Saturday finals. Hope others do the same.

I was thinking about the 119# bracket. That one is gonna be stacked. Should be a lot of good matches at all weights. Hate to miss it. Got tape ? Dan

I agree 112 and 119 are both LOADED. I can't wait to see who comes out of those on top. I just hope Shumate sticks with 112 this weekend so we all have a show! And 119 could be just as good. 3 state champs all in the same bracket. Tristen Deshazer, Tommy Edgemon (spelling?), and Isaac Wall are all studs! The heavier weights dominated at Bobcat, but these two weights at this tournament could be the best of the year!

Totally forgot about 119. Talked to some of the parents of athletes attending yesterday and they are really pumped. This isn't going to be your run of the mill, boring till the finals tourney.

Sorry I forgot about you Tristen. Tell dad I said hey and maybe I'll see him there.
