I only glanced at them, but I already have two major complaints. First off, Nick Shumate is only ranked 6th at 112. Now I know that he's moving up a weight class, but the kid is a stud and should definitely be ranked way higher than sixth. Second, how the hell is Carl Wilk ranked first in the state at 215??? That kid is a putz. If he can keep that ranking for more than two weeks into the season then I'll be amazed.

Man, that was kind of mean towards Wilk. Still, that weight class is incredibly weak. Lee Larson, if what Jhris says about you being fat is true then go 215. It'd be fun for you. Eating lots of food AND a state championship? Sounds sweet to me!

Young Mr. Robinson:
While I have seen no official rankings, I trust you went to the KWCA database and entered 6A to receive the rankings.
If it is any consolation, the wrestler ranked 2nd at 112lbs. graduated last year and is on the Newman University wrestling team, so Shumate is moving up in the rankings without wrestling a match.
The preseason rankings are a best guess by the individuals who volunteer their time to perform this mundane and much criticized task.
Relax!

...thats why i love rankings such controversy...
...really now, who gives a flip?
..rankings dont win medals or championships...
id rather fly in under the radar and suprise everyone, i love being the underdog, more incentive to win, and nothing to lose!
but as the year progresses, those rankings are earned, not given. this is only pre-lim, see how much the rankings change during the course of the year!

Maybe the wrestlers don't give a flip but for the fans this is an outrage.

Yeah! You tell em' Bartels!
But really, I understand that it's basically all guesswork right now. I just think it's a fun thing to talk about. No big deal at all.

Shumate moving to 112?? What is going on? He couldnt have been more than 107lbs last yr...i dont see why he would move up. Who knows though, maybe he grew a lot or something.
