You heard it here first. Manhattan High School, 2100 Poyntz Ave, Manhattan, KS 66502, has claimed their first ever wrestling state title under Lee Woodford.

If my calculations (and by "my calculations" I mean "Brian Olsen's calculations") are correct, Manhattan's lead after the consolation finals in insurmountable. That's right, kiddies. The Hat has done it.

My congrats go out to all the MHS wrestlers, who wrestled MA-OHNY these past two days, and throughout the season. If it weren't for some unfortunate coincidences the past four years, this very well could be The Hat's third or fourth title.

But this is the first. And we'll take it.

Way to go, Hat.

The state championship trophy is on its way to Hat Town, where it belongs. I'm giddy.

Prant, I hate you. You beat me to the punch on informing everyone of our second-day dominance. You, sir, are a jerkstore.

You can say second day dominance again...we went out there and took a state title. Waking up at 6am and being behind 24 points our kids went out there and did what no one thought they could but us. We belive baby! Big shou outs too Jeb Woodford, Aaron Bingham, Lee Larson, Mike Miller, AD Mayes, and last but not least RJ "I can still beat everyone with one leg to help my team win a state title" Johnson for stepping up and doing "the job". We displayed character and heart...the same heart that stems from our Head head coach THE LEE WOODORD.

This post has made it almost halfway down the first page. It's about time I bump it up again.

R.J. really impressed me this weekend. To beat Kromer, who is a ma-ohny ma-ohny ma-ohn, with one leg is simply amazing. It's unfortunate that Sonderegger ripped off half of his leg in the semis, otherwise I see R.J. as a state champ. Looks like he finally got rid of all that sand and grew up. Way to go, buddy.

And Boach, good point. All credit goes to Wee Loodford. He is the Splinter of wrestling, imparting knowledge to his crime-fighting reptilian machines. I think of all the people in the world who deserved a state title, he was #1. Congrats, Coach.

Thanks for acknowledging me, Fris. You, however, had a great deal to do with the success that Manhappenin' had on Day 2. You surprised a bunch of people, and were a point away from possibly placing 3rd or 4th. You definitely boosted your man points this weekend.

And you guys couldn't have done it without Mrs. Woodford. She's #1. Not only does she keep Woach from killing you guys, but she gives you ice cream and takes pictures. What a deluxe lady.

Fris, was that a nearly witty post you just made? If so it is time I get cracking on my posting so that I can retain my title as the new funny man.

By the way...
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Manhattan just won state. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

Oh I am. Trust me. I'm still crying myself to sleep at night, however. If you look at other classes, you will see my pain.

4a- Thoreson- I was winning 14-4 when he injury defaulted.

5a- Sponsel- I have beaten 3 times in 3 attempts including a 9-3 decision this year at Newton.

6a- Knipp- I defeated 8-2 the week before.

I realize that me scoring 24 points was better for the team, and was more important than me winning. So, I guess it's alright. Plus, winning one for Woodford meant everything to me, because he was the only person in the world who thought I had potential. Good for MHS!!!!

So this kid is putting on his shoes right, and his mom says, honey you're putting your shoes on the wrong feet, and the little kid says, no mom these are my feet

Lies, Jhris. I knew you had potential.

Heck, anyone who can beat me three times in wrestle-offs is destined for greatness.
