wall and heinker 6-4 OT, wall was behind 4-0 at end of first period. Heinker chooses TOP, Wall reversal. Third period Wall chooses down, reversal. Harding and Devoe, Harding dominates entire match and can't remember score but won by at least 7 pts. Garcia and Geske, Garcia by fall. First period 2-0 garcia, then he turned it, meaning no offense to Geske who wrestled well. I'm gonna just stop typing as I don't remember exact scores.

So what was that about Abeline being the best 4a wrestling team in the state? I count 3 teams in 4a above them. This should prove, once and for all, that rankings are worthless and the South (particularly the Southeast) can hang. Columbus, Rose Hill, and Chanute... nice work!

Note: I have nothing against Abilene, just the people whining about "how hard" they think their 4a regional is. The top two teams and Chanute will all be in one regional, and you don't hear anyone complaining about that.

In Abilene's defense, they did not compete with their full team.

Dawson 119 and Kriegbaum 130, were sick and they were also missing several other varsity wrestlers.

That is a lot of potential points missing. It is also quite obvious that by bringing Goodland and Colby from the west along with Santa Fe Trail and Royal Valley from the east, added together with the NCKL, the Abilene regional should prove to be very deep.

at best what do you add to abilene's score 50 points with those two missing wrestlers. Still doesn't put them at the top

It does not put them at the top but really close by taking points away from other teams.

At most tournaments I think its 36 points total for a 16-man bracket champion with all pins. Kreigbaum would probably be close to that. Dawson could have been a champ giving them another 30 or so points which in turn takes away from other teams points and that can make a difference.

I have to commend the people of Rose Hill who ran such a smooth tourny. I also have to give them mad props on how fast they had the brackets updated in the hall. By the time I would be done wrestling, and got dressed, they already had new brackets posted. This was the only tourny I have been to all year that they had them posted so fast.
