Just to make sure everyone knows, the West Central Regional for NJCAA will be held this Saturday Feb. 14th at Labette CC. 5 of the 7 teams in the region are ranked in the Top 10 in the NJCAA. The region consist of the following teams:

Northwest Wyoming (#1)
Western Wyoming (#9)
Labette (#5)
Colby (#6)
Neosho County (#7)
Pima, AZ. (NR)
Gelndale, AZ. (NR)

Taking from the current NJCAA Rankings (Feb. 9th), the West Central Region will consist of 23 of the 60 ranked wrestlers in the country. Approx. 40% of the current ranked wrestlers will be present at the Regional this weekend.

There will be some great college wrestling action and we are asking the Kansas Wrestling community to take this opportunity to come out and support your local college wrestling programs as they compete for a spot at the National Tournament on Feb. 27-28 in Rochester, MN.

Below you will find the tournament schedule. The start time and finals time are set, but the middle times are subject to change. We hope to see you at Labette CC for the West Central Region!

Competition Agenda / Saturday, Feb. 14:

Session One:
Round 1 9:00 – 11:30 am Championships 1st Round. (2 mats)

Break 11:30 – 12:00 Lunch/ bracket catch-up

Session Two:
Round 2 12:00 – 1:15 pm Semi-final Championships (2 mats)

Round 3 1:15 – 2:30 pm 1st Round of Consolations (2 mats)


Break 2:30 – 2:45 pm bracket catch-up / rest period

Round 4 2:45 –4:15 pm Consolation Semi-finals ( 2 mats)

Round 5 4:20 – 5:45 pm 5th.-6th. place matches

Session Three:
Round 6 7:30 pm Finals (1st. - 2nd and 3rd – 4th)

Adjustments in the time schedule will be made as prudent and necessary.
