The rankings are looking pretty good. However, I think in the next edition of them, Brett Schields from Goodland definitely deserves a look at 152 since he does hold a victory over Taylor Finley of Colby this season.

Otherwise, the rankings are alright.

Plus the 171 rankings are a little off. Why is chris stuart on there??? he is ONLY a sophomore, while there are some outstanding sophomores like pete eck, but he barely beat zahm who was recently ranked #4. notibly though, people dont realize that he lost once! and he lost to dukes from douglass who is still undefeated i believe. there are other screwy rankings out there but it is hard to rate the talent when it seems like there are only a few studs followed by average wrestlers. Plus if disney lost to siemer at 215 (or so ive heard) then why is disney still #1???????

The rankings are off because the ranker is off. It would be nice if coaches and fans would post their tournament and dual results for all to see, but I can only go off of the information made available to me. Dukes was a round away from medaling last year and should be ranked probably 3rd. I just kind of lose track of guys when I can't find results. The Basehor Tournament had a lot of top 4A teams last weekend and so that tournament kind of had an effect on the ranking for this week.

As for ranking 171:
1. Neil Erisman (easy pick)
2. Pete Eck (easy pick)
3. Dennis Fairleigh (did not realize he was hurt, I may have been mistaking him for Riner)
4. Chris Stuart (won the Augusta Tournament that Zahm was at and so was Douglass but not Dukes so I missed out on that head-to-head, if they met earlier and Dukes won then I probably missed that one. Stuart is probably getting pretty good if he has Elliot as a workout partner and I know Dukes is tough because destroyed one of my own kids at state last year and he comes from a program that was winning state titles in the 1800s)
5. Will Irvine (3rd at Basehor)
6. Dakotah Gettler (5th at Basehor)

It is hard to rate the talent because in addition to the many studs we have, there are 61 schools in 4A resulting in several exceptional wrestlers at every weight with several kids deserving recognition for their hard work. Even a top ten would not do justice to the level of talent that we produce in Kansas.

Atticus is still number one because he has a cool name. Siemer for his efforts moved all the way up to number 2.

Coach DeWitt: You are still the man! Keep up the good work.

If i am correct dukes beat stuart at the goodwill tournament in douglass but sat out of the augusta tournament because of sickness or maybe he got in trouble. rumors are rumors but he still wasnt even in the bracket. although stuarts win over zahm was impressive, stuart got pinned by dukes last year and he also beat zahm last year at augusta as well. you do the math!!

yea he got in some trouble. he beat stuart by 2 or 3 but needs to be smarter and stay on the mat, we may of had a chance placing as a team at augusta.
