Liam Kastor gave up a lot of weight as a freshman in 2003 (over 10 lbs.), managed to qualify for the high school state tournament, but dropped down to 90 for kids' state and won it handily. All kids who are struggling at being underweight in high school might have an advantage when they get to kids' competition:
they've had to wrestle bigger guys all season,
and it makes them tougher.
Congrats to all who won in Park City.
