Let's hope the boys keep their heads on straight, get to bed on time, and have a serious attitude tomorrow. They should win against Maryland but it could all come down to match ups. Parents that are there, some of us remember last year when there was far too much good times going on as opposed to getting ready for the next day. Let's not have a repeat of that. They have a great chance to be wrestling for placement, with a win, and taking the day tomorrow rather seriously, which starts with plenty of rest tonight.

Also a big special thanks to John for keeping us informed.

The team looked great during the match with Maryland. I couldnt send the status during the dual due to problems with my internet connection and failed to keep track of the matches. I planned to get them from trackwrestling.com. Well that is not posible due to nothing is on the web site??

The final score was like 15 to 35 cant remember the exact score.

They are now in the Championships and will not wrestle until around 2:30. I will try to get my internet working on my treo phone and keep you updated.

A top 8 finish for our Greco Junior's! Forfeiting two weights and we still make it. Pools A and B will be determined tomorrow. Missouri gets beat by Texas 33-32 and will not make the Final 8 in the Championship bracket. With Donte Butler, Shane Nay, Ray Hall, Clarence Neely, Brent Haynes, Deron Winn and Elijah Madison.....and they don't make it. Pool D was the toughest draw.

Here is the box score from TX vs. MO:

Our 3 big guys all look to be having a great tourney so far! All 3 are still undefeated unless I'm mistaken.

Thank you to all that are in OKC posting results. Stephen's pretty good at calling, but it's fun to see them come across right when they happen, instead of waiting for him to call.

I know he's a smaller 119lber, but I am proud of him for going and giving it his all so that we (Kansas) don't have to forfeit that weight.

Keep it up guys, we are proud of you!

Four teams have secured their spots in the Championship bracket of the Greco competition. Pools A and B will be decided this morning.

IN:
California
Kansas
Illinois
Texas

Probable other 4:
Minnesota 1
New York
Iowa
Florida

Minnesota and Iowa are undefeated. Minnesota is looking especially strong. Iowa beat a good Florida team by 20, who beat Wisconsin.

Hope Kansas got a good nights sleep! Champions will be made today!

I will be leaving at 7AM tomorrow to head toward OKC with two SM East wrestlers, Tanner Johnson and Jeff Rutherford to cheer on our Junior Freestyler's! FS Wrestling won't start till 6PM Friday, so there is still time to plan your trip to God's country (Can you tell I'm an OU grad?). It would be great to see a loud Kansas crowd at OCU! If you haven't experienced the dual format on a National level, it doesn't get any better in wrestling.

Maybe Richard can continue the trackwrestling updates through the FS competition...

GO KANSAS!

The Pools are set!

POOL A:

Iowa
New York
Kansas
Illinois

POOL B:

California
Minnesota 1
Texas
Florida

Kansas has Illinois first, Iowa next, then New York. In my opinion, Iowa is the team to beat in the A bracket. Illinois beat Missouri, but won most of their weights in the bottom half where MO is weaker.

Illinois won the first 6 weights against Missouri. I know their 98, 119, 152 and 285 are very tough. We should win 112, 135, 140, 189, 215 and 285. The 145 and 160 matches will be the swing weights that could win it for us.

I believe the 1st dual start at 2:30.
