It is true about Cokeley. He is in the finals despite the loss! He knew before the match that all he needed was 1 point. He will have Trujillo in the finals!

Wow...

At 145, Nelson had 4 points in the medal round and was in a 3 way tie. Due to the tie-breaker rules, Roulo is in the finals even though Chase beat him! The classification points had Roulo at 27 and Chase at 26, due in part to a bye that Chase had!

Classification points are ahead of head-to-head????

That hurts. Chase will wrestle for 3rd place.

... and in the mysteries that are part of wrestling, Tyler Caldwell wrestled far better than Gutches but loses.

Kyle Detmer loses.

Cadet 119 Finals (Bout 1976) - Daniel Deshazer (Kansas) vs. Nick Arujau (New York)
Cadet 125 Finals (Bout 1983) - Louis Trujillo (New Mexico) vs. Ryne Cokeley (Kansas)
Cadet 130 Finals (Bout 1985) - Kyle Ash (Oklahoma) vs. Parker Madl (Kansas)
Cadet 145 Finals (Bout 1998) - Jordan Thomas (Michigan) vs. Chase Nelson (Kansas)

The Cadet finals begins at 1 pm!

Horan just beat Stieber at 112 for the championship. So I guess he is that good.

Daniel DeShazer wins the first-period, 2-0. Loses the 2nd, 0-2. In the 3rd, Daniel can't muster any offense, losing 0-1.

Daniel DeShazer is a double All-American for Team Kansas!

Ryne Cokeley faces Trujillo for the finals. Trujillo scores the quick takedown ... Ryne evens it with a takedown of his own ... Trujillo scores another and wins the period, 1-2.

Ryne in the 2nd, scores 1 takedown to Trujillo's 3.

Ryne Cokeley settles for the runnerup spot and also is an double All-American!!

24/7: Horan's matches suprise me also. Taylor beat him last year at middle shcool duals so I thought maybe the Thielke match was just a case of "getting caught", but to then beat Steiber also gives all the validity needed. He's obviously been working and improving!!

Way to Go Kansas All Americans!! Great Job!

Chase Nelson finishes 3rd! Chase won the 2nd period in the clinch and won the 3rd on a pushout!!

Nelson lost only 1 match while in Fargo! Up here, it is such a mental grind, if your wrestle both style you have to make weight four times plus the quality of competition is second to none!!

Chase Nelson is a Greco National Champ and 3rd place finisher in Freestyle!

C.J. Napier (Kansas) v. Kyle Bradley (MO)

Period 1 ... Bradley scores a push out ... Napier scores 1 ... Napier again ... Napier wins the period, 2-1.

Period 2 ... Napier scores ... Napier on the push out ... Bradley scores 2 ... Napier on the push out ... Napier again ... Napier wins, 4-2.

C.J. does a great job with in the rules of attacking a single leg and taking his opponent out-of-bounds!
