Just curious....since when is it allowed to put fingers in eyeballs & cover mouths & noses so you can't breathe, grab testicles ("five on two" they call it) and call your opponent a "b****" among other names during a match! Just curious? I've only been around the sport for 5 years. Just saw this "unsportmanslike" behavior for the first time this weekend in Iowa. (but the ref didn't see or hear it... I'm guessing after 5 years, I'm still a "novice" mom. Just didn't realize this was "acceptable" behavior. Any comment from those who are in "the know"!

Well I'm not exactly in "the know" for this particular incident but you don't have to look to Iowa to find this kind of stuff. I thought it was quite funny because everything mentioned in your post except for the "5 on 2" was performed in one of my matches this year by both me and my opponent, now I don't think that I have bad sportsmanship but sometimes people get caught in the moment and stuff happens. But as I mentioned before I was not there and not in "the know" for this incident in Iowa.

Hey Butt-Head what did people do before they invented TV?
Don't be stupid Beavis there's always been TV, there's just more channels now.
Oh yeah, heh heh hehe... progress is cool. Heh hehe heh

My son also got punched in the face twice during the championship match and it was not called.

Wrestling is a brutal sport an if you cant handle alittle roughness then wrestling is prolly not the sport for you. People are always whining about how this kid checked my oil or he poked me in the eye big deal!! Maybe you should quit whining about it an inflicted some pain back. I might be being alittle blunt about this because im a high school wrestler an it happins more in high school.

I have to say, high school is different from kids. We are talking 8, 9, 10 year old kids not 15 or 16 year old. This should not be allowed in kids wrestling.

Meven is very stupid, so no one listen to him. I'm also pulling out the Kids State champ card on this one Meven, so step back and listen. High school wrestling isn't THAT aggressive and painful that people need to complain. It's a rough sport, and people do get hurt, and people are hit in the eye and all that crap. It happens. The little kids usually don't do anything like that because they're teeny. But seriously, even in high school, where I wrestled for 4 years, there were only like 3 times in those 4 years that it was illegal. Everything else is pretty much routine. And the 3 or 4 times weren't even that bad, just a head butt or a lip grab and other little things. Quit whining, it's really not that bad. Pain is temporary.

So this kid is putting on his shoes right, and his mom says, honey you're putting your shoes on the wrong feet, and the little kid says, no mom these are my feet

jhis thats cuz your to lazy to be agressive and u wrestle to many fatties :p to understand what a great man once told me....physicality...and i myself have been in so many matches where there has been alot of elbows and other stuff like that being thrown around and u either just take it or give it back and dont complain about it...now phsicality dosnt mean throwing elbows and stuff like that, it means being aggresive and and not sit back and worry about hurting the guy...once again Meven
