We are in the process of finalizing our Cadet Dual Roster that will be competing in Rochester, MN next week for the National Dual tournament. If you did not have a chance to get your paper work or information for the tournament this last weekend at our state tournament, please contact me ASAP about your opportunity to compete on our National Dual team.

I know several of you had mentioned that you are interested in participating with us at this great tournament. We would like to fill a very competitive team and look forward to continuing our great tradition at this prestigous event. We still have lots of spots open. Below you will see the roster that we have so far. If you would like to join our efforts at becoming a National Champion Team please contact me.

105 Calvin Ochs
112 Riley Hunsicker
119 Zach Vesta
119 Brandon Charbonneau
130 Colton Eck
140 Chase Woofter
145 Chase Sanchez
152 Jesse Lamay
160 Nick Pursel
171 Spencer Wilson
171 Aaron Asbury
215 Leo Beck
215 Eric Mason
285 Zach Callahan

These weights are tentative and could change. I have talked with several of you over the phone or via email and understand that you are going to join us and just did not get me your information this past Saturday. We need to get this worked out ASAP. As you can see we still need participants at the following weight classes. 84lbs, 91lbs, 98lbs, 125lbs, 130lbs, 135lbs, 189lbs, and 285lbs

Our roster can be a maximum of 25 wrestlers, but I would like to take close to 30 just in case of injuries. If you have any questions or concerns please let me know.

Surely our State Champions or finalists will be on this list. I realize Hood and Williams are doing Juniors but what about:

84 - Dakota Leach
98 - Zac Gentzler
112 - Aaron Seybold
130 - Symon Seaton
140 - Brent Koehn
145 - Kyle Johnson
171 - Tyler Baughman

That would make a huge difference to this team!

Chief,

I have talked with Mr. Gentzler and I do believe that Zac is on board with us for either 91 or 98lbs. The same can be said about Symon Seaton, he did say that he was pretty sure he would go with us as well. Tyler Baughman is a must have! He competed very well for us last year and we would love to have him back again this year, he simply said that he was not interested. We need to convince him other wise. Dakota Leach said he just wanted to do Fargo. Kyle Johnson has a camp that week. Brent Koehn is questionable, did speak with him. And Seybold can't make it.

I do believe with a little persuasion we can still steal some of these young men, but I am asking for all of your help in this matter.

There will be a training camp that takes place on our way to Rochester. I will be posting more about our schedule later this evening or tomorrow, but we will be leaving next Tuesday morning from a location to be named later and heading to Blair, Nebraska for 3 workouts at Dana University. Dana is coached by former Kansas Cadet National Team Coach Beau Vest. Coach Vest has allowed us to use their facility for workouts on our way up to Rochester.

Russ- I recommend you talk to Jared McComb of Chanute at 171, also, he said he was interested.

Matt Reed is being recruited by Coach Church and I believe he is going to be attending. I know they had football camp this week so hopefully I can grab him as well. McComb contacted me several months ago and informed me that he was interested, I did not get a chance to chat with him this last weekend but did talk to his high school coach today and should be in contact with him within the next couple of days. Javier is only doing Fargo.

The cost for the duals is $250. That cost includes your spot on the team, your team gear (shirts, shorts, singlets), lodging at both mini camp (Dana University) and Rochester, MN, and transportation to and from.

I should have news of both Sam Son and Jared McComb tomorrow at the latest. If anyone has an idea of another 84lb'er besides Dakota Leach please let us know.

I also recommend Reece Conklin of Lawrence at 150/160.

Looks like Matt Reed is in. This team really needs Conklin. Hunter Haralson would also be a big help.

Church thank you for your help. The team is really coming together pretty well. Right now the tentative roster looks likes this:
84 Dakota Leach
98 Zac Gentzler
98 Dustin Reed
105 Calvin Ochs
112 Ryan Hodges
112 Riley Hunsicker
119 Zach Vesta
125 Brandon Charbonneau
125 Ulysses Deshazer III
130 Colton Eck
140 Dylan Penka
140 Chase Woofter
145 Chase Sanchez
152 Matt Reed
152 Greg Schiffelbein
152 Jesse Lamay
160 Nick Pursel
171 Spencer Wilson
171 Aaron Asbury
215 Leo Beck
215 Eric Mason
285 Zach Callahan

I still believe that Symon Seaton is in at 130 but have not heard back from him. Dakota Leach at 84lb is a huge pick up, if he is for sure going? Was told last night that he is in. Coach Edison maybe you could help getting this resolved? smile Still in need of a 189lb'er and a 91lber. Let me know if you are interested. The schedule of events will be posted tonight. Thanks again for all your help.

I heard that Tyler Baughman is in! Great news. I may have to check the mileage to Rochester!
