actually i forgot about freestyle but eric didnt but you ranked other people by what they placed at fargo did you not.hmm seems like fargo was frestyle.. seem to me you choose and pick what critera you want to use when you want to use it.. as i told you before you can remove eric from your rankings because it shows that head to head doesnt matter wherever it might occur..actually your rankings are becoming comical becuase you have knudson dropped way down and neither eric or leo and i believe neither has nathan beaten him but i could be wrong .. either way i am done argiung my point..

At least everybody gets to see that post. I wonder if I put Eric above Leo, would his dad tell me to take him out of the rankings? Knudson has TWO losses. That is why he is ranked lower. Fargo results add to the overall body of work a wrestler has. Try bringing up a freestyle head to head at a folkstyle seeding meeting and see what comical is.

The passion of parents in regards to sports - gotta love it. No harm in being proud. I hope that all parents that are willing to battle for their child's rep on the mat, court or field - is equally vocal when it comes to their classes & grades.

Just doesn't ever seem to be that way.

Excellent -

Funny story. Listened to a parent recently spend hours in the stands venting about their coach, bad refs, KWCA rules, their son's seeding for the tournament, you name it.

I asked what their son's english teacher's name was....

crickets.

Wrestling is a big part of our lives - perspective is very important.

just because you do not know your sons english teachers name does not mean you do not care about his grades. i could never know the teachers name and hound a kid on grades and force him to do homework and still show i care

Chief,

Excellent job on the Rankings!!! Appreciate your time & efforts.

The nagging, cry baby, critics are comical for your kind free service.

As the other post stated... the passion to stick up for your kid is nice... But still very comical.

Anyway Whatever!!!!!!!!

Back to the "2010-11 All-Class Rankings". I enjoy them and it is a nice guess of the kids past wrestling efforts.

Thanks Again,
Jason McComb

Any way you could include the records next to the rankings?

That would be nice. Time intensive, but nice.

I would imagine so. I just didn't know if you had the data. Would be nice if we could build a data base where coaches posted results and we could compile the information. Writing the program wouldn't be difficult but getting participation might be.

That's the issue, it's participation. I have plenty of numbers but there is a wide disparity in reporting.

The reason why Knudson has 2 losses is because he's been battling injury since football, he should make a strong finish toward the end of January.

---dadofhwt,
Not that it matters, since to I and my husband, rankings are just a means of keeping everyone excited for the ulitmate goal---STATE!!! Anyway, I have a notebook of all the matches my kids have ever had, and looking over it, I discovered that the last time our 2 boys went Head-to-Head,in folkstyle, was a couple years ago at kids state, and they went 1-1. Eric won the first match, Luke won the second match. I am a firm believer that anyone can be beaten on anyday and these 2 matches could have had very different outcomes given different circumstances. Just a clarification, not a point to be taken into consideration for rankings in my eyes.
