if you are a steady 200??? which is hard to believe at your height. but that puts you into the square bear class. a square bear ain't much of a challenge. but i'll tell you what, if you want a shot at the title, you gotta work your way up to the champ. i'll let you share a 12 pack with mamma, if you 2 can finish it before i finish mine, i'll buy the burgers. btw i'm about 35 burgers bigger than you, if 200 is legit. ask lucas baker 6'2" 315, don't scare me off.

We are having our kids wrestle the same time as high school state, Jr. College qualifiers, and nationals. NAIA and NCAA qualifiers and Nationals instead of being the spectators they need to keep their sport going. I understand taking time off during the season and doing what is best for your kids, but we are part of the problem not the solution to more high school and college wrestling programs. We need to be supporting wrestling at the next level now or our kids my not have those opportunities in the future. Let’s get the season over so our kids can see what they have to look forward to. They can get more mat time doing the Olympic styles after the NCAA’s are over.

the problem here, is shortening the season will make it hard for ALL clubs to host tourneys and make $$$. the only college tournament that our current state series interferes with is the national tournament. so if you didn't make it to high school regionals, states, or the NJCAAs, Big 12, or Big 10s, then you have only to look in the mirror. btw we make to at least 2 LCCC duals, 2 NCCC duals every year, make all the high school home duals, at least 2 tourneys, and high school state and regionals. you know what else we still wrestled in over 12 tournaments, and practiced at least 2 nights a week. i will add that most of your kids can probably beat my kid now. nothing really matters until high school.

Tell me the season is 11 months long and I'll say "great" as long as March is our month off! We'll take breaks throughout the season.

That's the point of this post - having subs, district, and state in March is terrible for KS wrestling for kids/coaches/parents whether its because you/kids want to watch HS/College finals or take a vacation over spring break or both.

Growing up, I loved watching the top level college and I couldn't wait to take spring break after a good long season. Sadly, our kids won't have that opportunity.
