I know we have seen that in Elementary duals also.

Good or Bad this time of year seems to be my sons growth spurt time, I bet we we still have to cut some to get to the next weight in April.

What is compromised in this case Will???

District II will comply with the rules for sanctioned tournaments and will hold a satellite weigh-in at 10:00 A.M..

Again, allow me to remind you it is a benefit and not a requirement for the Sub-district host club to provide the manpower for this satellite weigh-in.

This issue was discussed briefly at our District II seeding meeting and there was no objection raised to the 10:00 A.M. time.

I do not recall District II ever being accused of not following the rules for sanctioned tournaments, so I am unsure what is meant by your statement that "District II is ALWAYS doing things their own way..."

Maybe everyone doesn't know but the MS State tournament is schedule when it is to avoid conflict with the MS seasons and with USA Wrestling events. The weigh in on Saturday morning was adjusted by one hour as to not interfere with wrestling during the sub district tournament. I am not encouraging cutting weight but if a wrestler makes weight on Saturday morning then he needs a little time to recover or at least eat and drink. The weight classifications are different so we cannot use the sub district weigh ins for that that reason and to comply with the 24 hour rule. Simple solution, we can start wrestling at 8am on Sunday.

Richard, you asked what is compromised? Well, we started this tournament to create wrestling opportunities for kids and to manage the MS Dual teams. Everyone on our board agreed that it was a good thing and that we should work together. So, for the past four years we have and no one has complained about the weigh in schedule. In fact, it has been published for many months so our advertising has been compromised by your need to step in and get involved in a non constructive way. Frankly, if you don't want to help weigh the kids in I am CERTAIN we can find someone who will! Why would you even threaten me with that?? Are you in this for the kids or for your ego? I am flabbergasted by your negative involvement in this situation and your failure to remember that District II has tried to deviate from the standards we agreed to put in place for ALL Sub District and District tournaments. You know that you pushed the gray area and deviated from the standards that all of the other districts were utilizing. On top of that, surely you remember the weigh in fiasco created a few short years ago when you hosted FS/GR State in Circle and many kids weighed in on Thursday, nearly 48 hours before the tournament. I thought you played by the rules? This is now a mess and it should have never been an issue!

That is total bs for district 2 to be at 10 when all others are at 8:30 how hard is it really to weigh kids in I have done it many times. Again adults thinking about themselves and not the kids. D2 is one screwed up puppy in regards to this situation.

Richard, this is stupid. I was at the seeding mtg and it was discussed between you and Maize. After the discussion YOU made the statement that weighins would be made at 10am with NO discussion from anyone else.

You cannot tell me that Maize doesn't have manpower to run an 8:30 weighin like the rest of the districts are doing.

IMO there's no discussion just a dictatorship. Thanks for doing what's best for district II KIDS!
