Re-Districting is a no brainer...this has needed to happen for some time now.

High School Division is not accomplishing what was wanted anyway.

We can find a way to make the District Tournament one day and hold everybody.

Unfortunately you are correct about it effecting FS/GR numbers, but at least those wanting to can get at it earlier.

Easy solution...get rid of subs all together, Districts the weekend after High School State, get rid of High School Division if the numbers continue to be poor, Kids State Two Weeks after High School State. Get to Freestyle/Greco."

Best idea yet. I concur. I'm even in favor of dropping HS division regardless.

I am in favor of removing sub-districts and moving everything up a week or two. This will allow for more time for freestyle/Greco and get the state series away from spring break and D1's.

Id see who's kids are going to Rocky Mountain Nationals and it will probably give you a good idea of why it was voted on and changed. We make decisions every week on what tournaments to go to and not, some want cake and pie (Kansas State and Rocky Mtn). I guess they still are keeping it an "open tournament" so its still good for the JV kids. Created alot of confusion last minute

Is there any way to look back to when kids state had 16U div? Were the #'s any better, did 16U provide good competition?
