The Folkstyle Tour of America is excited to announce a brand new event, the 2015 NCAA USAW Youth Showcase! This event is being held in conjunction with the Division I NCAA Wrestling Championships. Registration is open and we already have wrestlers from 16 states signed up to compete! Here are the event details:
2015 NCAA USAW Youth ShowcaseWhere: Lindenwood University in St. Charles, MO
When: March 21-22, 2015
Who: Bantam (2007-2008)
Intermediate (2005-2006)
Novice (2003-2004)
Schoolboy (2001-2002)
Cadet (1999-2000)
Junior (Born 9/1/1995 plus currently enrolled in grades 9-12)
Junior Women (Born 9/1/1995 plus currently enrolled in grades 9-12)
Awards for the top six place winners in the Bantam through Junior, along with points for the Future Olympian Rankings for wrestlers in Intermediate through Schoolboy.
All wrestlers must have an active USA Wrestling Athlete membership in order to compete in this event. Event will be capped at 1,000 wrestlers. USA Wrestling does not charge for changing weight classes, even at weigh-ins, so sign up early to guarantee your spot in the event!
Unlike other Tour of America events and due to USA Wrestling’s agreement with the NCAA, this event is a “stay-to-play” event. What that means is that wrestlers from 100 miles or further from Lindenwood University must book a room at one of the specified hotels in order to receive a coupon code to register for the correct price of $50 per wrestler. Wrestlers that live within 100 miles of Lindenwood can email
rjohnson@usawrestling.org to acquire a different coupon code to register for $50 per wrestler.
