I was hoping to get the results all posted on here, but Coach Stovall has the brackets. All in all Newman did a solid job and I believe had 4 champions on the day and some big surprises including a 3rd string reserve wrestler whoop up on the #3 NAIA ranked guy at 184!
Hwt was the weirdest looking group especially that kid from I believe Briar Cliff (maybe Waldorf?) who came out looking like Joe Dirt and got turned into a lawndart at the hands of a 6'6 beast of a wrestler from NW Missouri State in Tom Pestock (SM North grad).
I'd like thank Newman University for grabbing me out of the parking lot while I was in Wichita and taking me on the spur of the moment with them with there gracious invitation...although sitting next to Smitty on the way back was like sitting next to spoiled milk, bean dip, and rotten eggs, I managed to have a great time. But next time I sit next to Smitty I'm giving the sign Coach Stovall! Dirka Dirka! LOL!
