They need to move the boys and girls together and do it Th, Fr, Sat and do sessions. Its not fair to the boys or girls to have their state tournament on a Wed and Th when no one can come. It was kind of embarassing how small the crowd was during the girls finals Thursday afternoon.
Agreed. Like Western State head coach Charlie Pipher said at his camp last summer, "girl's wrestling is unquestionably going to save our sport." The fact that we are making them wrestle at state on Wednesday and Thursday is ABSOLUTELY BANANAS. I am open to literally any other option, but for these gals to not be permitted to have their friends in the stands during the finals because they couldn't get called out of school is just
absurd. It would be one thing if it were an "every other year" thing, but to just have it be the expectation that girls have to get kicked to the middle of the week every year is laughably sexist.
