If called correctly, it should have gone into overtime.

Congrats, Aquinas!

Hey boach clack what match were you watching? Lewis was on his back for over a minute. How can you say no back. You must need a stronger prescription for your glasses. And not impressed, how many of your wrestlers gave up at least 15 plus pounds and still would come out with a win.

Boach clack were you sitting by Coach McClure during that match. From Coach McClure's angle he said that Lewis was stuck twice while he was on his back. How can you say no back when at one time Lewis's entire body was inside the circle. Initially the official did not start counting back points until Jordan pulled him inside the circle. Coach Woodford wants Jordan to come and work with the big guys next year when he is in Manhattan, maybe he can show you how unimpressive he is! How many of your wrestlers moved up to wrestle a defending state champion instead of staying at an easier weight. Jordan could have wrestled 215 this year but chose to move to heavyweight because the competition was better. Those were the two best heavyweights in the entire state. It was a great match between two great wrestlers and was called correctly. If you still have doubts we have some great footage of the match that we can get to you as we will be visiting Manhattan quite frequently over the next few years. By the way I wrestled for Coach Woodford and I am surprised that he would have a asst. coach that is lacking in wrestling knowledge. But I guess it could have been "hire the handicap" week.

I thought he just moved up because he was too massive to cut anymore. Plus I figured K-State wouldn't want him to even try to get any smaller.

Actually, I have to side with Boach on this one. The rule book says that if any part of the pinning area is on the out of bounds line, no back points/pins can be awarded. From my vantage point (matside), the bottom part of the UHS wrestler's right scapula was on the line, so even if he was completely flat, a pin wouldn't have counted. I know that this may be nit-picking, but the referee was not in position to see this. The UHS 275 was on his back out of bounds until the reversal. While he was rolling over, then the ref should have started his nearfall count. It would have been close to a 2 count, but there is no way to tell without seeing the tape. So while it was an UNBELIEVABLE throw, The match should have either gone to overtime or been a 2 point victory for Bedore (backpoints pending).

I'm not trying to take away from Jordan--I believe that he is an awesome wrestler and has had a great career. He probably would have won had the match gone to overtime. I wish him the best as he straps it on for KSU.

Congrats, Aquinas!

boach clack, What wasn't impressive? I can't believe anyone would say that about The best heavywieght in Kansas beating the other best heavywieght. I hope your being sarcastic. Jordon's the best in my book on and off the mat!

Dingbat, were you sitting matside on what mat? I will say this one more time, I have really good film of this match and if you would like to see his opponent is on his back inside the line for about 60 seconds you can come over and watch. I am trying to figure out why you would be trying to take something away from Jordan? It was a great match with Lewis giving everything he had. Bottom line is that he was on his back for over a minute with several people saying he was pinned. The offical in this match is one of the best around, not only in the state but in the nation. Hey dingbat, it is better to let people think you are stupid, than open your mouth and prove them right. But you are maybe beyond this point.

First of all if the ref is so good why didn't he call the pin. Secondly If by "handicap hire" you mean ne of the best asst coaches around then yes I am a handicap hire. Thirdly if Bedore wants to come in at Manhattan and rumble a bit I would be more than happy to accommadate him. But you are the one riding his victory not me. All I said was that he was not impressive or as dominating as some of the other good names we saw out there last weekend. Not taking anything away from Bedore cuz i don't even know the guy. That was the first time I had seen him wrestle and he did not live up to my expectattions. But he is no doubt a 3 time state champ. Good Job Bedore.

Now as for the personal attacks on my credibility as an asst coach, I think that they were foolish an distasteful. dude I have never heard of you as a wrestler or a coach. i have been in this forum for nearing 2 years and never have I had someone slam me for my opinion. Its cool though...you sound pretty tough sitting at a computer.

And finally refs make mistakes not matter how good they are and if I was calling the match i would have called no back and started them at the center. I think that Bedore should have never had a chacne to pul him on because they were out when they hit the mat...It shoul dhave been take down 2 and out of bounds in my opinion. But that is just what it is...my opinion. But that me be beyond you.

I hate making post like this...it should just be a cool place to talk about wrestling...because we are all from diferent place and we will not see eye to eye on everything.

On a lighter note...I have typed 2 sentences and Goodland is in a uproar. It ok if Bedore had a bad day!

I watched Bedore all weekend and was very impressed. To throw around heavyweights the way he did this weekend is pretty impressive, especially Lewis. Lewis is big and strong, but could not handle the pure physical nature of Bedore. I have not seen a heavy weight this impressive since Jeff Boyle. But Boyle is in another leaugue. To even be mentioned with Jeff is a great accomplishment. Good job Jordan and good luck Wildcats.
